Biography

After completing his an M.T.S. and Ph.D. from Notre Dame, Todd Walatka took up his current position as the Assistant Chair for Graduate Studies in Theology in 2011. His research centers on contemporary Catholic systematic theology, with his first book, "Von Balthasar and the Option for the Poor: Theodramatics in the Light of Liberation Theology," published in 2017 by CUA press. As the Assistant Chair for Graduate Studies in Theology, he works extensively on the pedagogical formation of masters and doctoral students, including on teaching the topics of race and racism in the theology classroom.
