Centering Blackness, Challenging latinidad

The Executive Council is excited to release the Call for Papers for the 2022 biennial Latina/o Studies Association Conference which will be held at the University of Notre Dame on July 11-14 in South Bend, Indiana. The Site Committee has developed a powerful and timely theme for the CFP – Centering Blackness, Challenging latinidad. We encourage you to submit proposals for panels, papers, and workshops that address the CFP. Preference will be given to organized panels, roundtables, and workshops. Due to the forced cancellation of our planned 2020 conference, we also invite those who wish instead to resubmit their previous proposal. In either case, we are excited by the prospect of a conference, particularly one that encourages courageous and important conversations about race, power, and the work that we pursue.

The deadline for submissions is November 1, 2021. You may submit your proposal here.
