China Town Hall

CNN host and best-selling author Fareed Zakaria will be the featured speaker for CHINA Town Hall 2021, a national conversation on how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns, and communities, on October 19. From supply chains to national security, new technologies to climate change, the future of both countries will be determined by their relations with one another and the global community.

The Liu Institute for Asia and Asia Studies and three of its faculty fellows will join more than 80 venues across the country for the program, which will feature Zakaria in conversation with National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) President Stephen Orlins, followed by individual discussions about U.S.-China relations by 80 organizations across the country.

The Liu Institute discussion will feature Kyle Jaros, associate professor of global affairs at Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs and a fellow for the NCUSCR’s Public Intellectuals Program; Iris Ma, assistant dean for academic affairs and assistant advising professor for the Keough School; and Jonathan Noble, interim director for the Liu Institute and ND's senior assistant provost for internationalization.

Zakaria's discussion will be livestreamed from 7-8 p.m. EDT. Register here: https://www.tfaforms.com/4922045
